Keep Your Brain Healthy

Dear Friends,

Our memory plays an important role in the process of our success. We all know the fact well that the memory forms and stays in the brain. Therefore, along with the health of the body, we also must be conscious about the health of our brain. All the things that improve our brain health, have a positive effect on our memory, and thus indirectly improve our overall performance.

Here are a few tips we should regularly follow to generate new brain cells and new neural connections that keep our brain healthy as we age.
  • EXERCISE – “When we exercise the body, we exercise the brain.” Brisk exercising for about 30 minutes improves blood flow considerably to the brain.

  • SLEEP – Researches have proven that getting sufficient sleep (at least six to eight hours) is also crucial for keeping the brain healthy.
  • DIET – Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for the brain. As much as possible, we should try to get vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids naturally through our regular dietary rather than getting them as supplements in the form of tablets and capsules, unless urgently required. A brain boosting diet includes fish, soya bean, walnuts, peanuts, spinach, broccoli, kidney beans, whole grains, green tea, grapes, flax seed oil, etc. Fruits, vegetables and green leafy vegetables are best for healthy brain. We should avoid diets rich in saturated fat like red meat, butter cheese and whole milk. We must shun smoking and avoid heavy drinking.
  • NEW THINGS – Try incorporating new and challenging things in your daily routine. Even if it is a small change (for instance using chop-sticks instead of spoon or fork while eating), it counts immensely in the above purpose. We can also try various brain games, chess, Sudoku, crossword, learning a new language, a new sport or a musical instrument, developing a new hobby like photography or anything that interests you like cooking new dishes or reading new books and like. This is a good practice for the formation of new neural pathways in the brain. Sometimes we can use our left hand to perform an action usually we do with our right hand.
  • INTERACTION WITH OTHERS – Socializing has many memory boosting benefits. Joining a club, making new relations/friends and interacting with others may work wonderfully for refreshing the brain.
  • AVOID STRESS – Stress hormones destroy brain cells and affect memory. Meditation, yoga, prayers, visiting new places, social interaction, exercise, etc., may help us immensely to keep the stress away.
  • LAUGHTER – Remember, laughter is the best medicine for the brain. Having fun and spending some time with jovial people is good for the health of your brain.

SUCCESS MANTRAS

Attaining success in different fields has been a natural tendency of human beings since the development of conscience in them. But success is not a thing which can be gained by any short cut. After going through the life history of many distinguished personalities we notice that they achieved heights in their respective fields by the dint of certain good qualities and principles.
v  There should be a precise goal to be achieved in our life. If we are not sure of any goal, our life can not be justified. Once a particular goal is fixed, our life becomes significant. Further, this goal is closely associated with hard work.  We can not imagine of success without this asset.  Hard work with single minded dedication brings success within our approach. Our past is full of many such examples where we witness the great personalities gaining success through their hard work and dedication, and of course, with certain goals in their mind.
v  Keeping our knowledge updated is a vital factor for achieving success in modern age. Diverse means, like internet, latest books, magazines and news papers work as our true friends in order to renew our knowledge of different subjects and contemporary matters.
v  Constant effort is another important factor to reach our target. We often don’t succeed in single attempt. This does not prove us incompetent at all.  Our failure at all times indicates towards our lacking.  Serious evaluation of our lacking and subsequently its proper rectification ensures our bright future.
v  Our elders possess many experiences of life. Their guidance can be of great help at every step of life. We should never fail to obtain it.
v  Above all, we must choose a field according to our abilities and taste and then proceed ahead with correct planning, hard work and devotion.

Welcome to "Mission Success"

 Friends,

This blog is dedicated to all those people who really want to achieve success in life, especially to those students who want to fulfill their dreams and make their parents proud of them.
By the medium of this blog, I just want to share the building blocks of success and greatness. I will make sure that my friends gain more and more by reading the content of this blog. If even a single student or a person fulfills his/her dream by getting motivated, the mission of my thought of creating this blog will be achieved with honour and dignity.
I have gone through many books related on being successful, making money and achieving greatness but most of them show us the taste of luxury and richness. It is not just money and luxurious life which defines the word success, otherwise nobody except a tycoon would have been rated as a successful person in the history of human kind. Money do matters but to achieve a true success, along with the learning of money making skills, one must also learn good communication skills, good manners, correct etiquette and good habits as well. Humanity also counts. A balanced blend of all these qualities leads not only to success but greatness also. Remember, the life is a great balancing act.
So be sure, when you step ahead with care and great tact, you will of course succeed.
I wish you success and greatness in life.
